Categories will help you group similar events, you may also be able to create Sub Categories under each Category. Eg. Category: Athletics => Activities: Baseball, Soccer.
To add or edit categories first go to the Set Up area and edit Activity Categories.
1. Check off the box to show the Show by Type dropdown on your School Calendar for public view.
2. Click the Add Category button to add a new category to the list.
3. Click the Edit button next to the category name to edit it.
4. Check off the boxes of any categories that you would like to delete, then click the Update Checked button to remove selected categories.
Note: Deleting categories doesn't erase the assigned activity.
5. If Yes is selected under Include column, the category will be shown in dropdown menu on the School Calendar. If No, category won't be shown, as well as activities, which are mapped just to this category.
6. Click on the Link to get the HTML code which you can use to paste a link to this calendar category into your web portal or other Web site.
7. Click on the View to see this calendar category in a separate window.
8. Click the Map Conference Activities to Categories tab to assign any Conference activities to any categories.
